About
Bronwen Butter Newcott grew up in Washington DC. She received an MFA in poetry from the University of Maryland, has taught high school English, led poetry and art groups for homeless writers, run an art studio, and currently teaches workshops for adults and teens. This spring she releases her Middle Grade magical realism novel Race to the Great Invention. A lover of image and imagination, she continues to write poems and is working on an interactive non-fiction book about kindling creativity. Her poems have appeared in Thrush, Image, Indiana Review, Prairie Schooner, Missouri Review, Smartish Pace, and other publications. She lives in Southern California with her husband, three kids, and dog Pippin Longstocking.
